* Another Look at ... Hal Hartley, with screenings of "Simple Men" (1992), "Flirt" (1996), "Henry Fool" (1998) & French premiere of "The Girl from Monday" (2005) with Mr. Hartley (below) in attendance.

* Hommage to ... Pierre Salinger (1925-2004), spokesman for John Kennedy's White House, who lived his final years near Avignon, in Le Thor (Vaucluse), with highlights from Mr. Salinger's career, and the French premiere of "Mana – Beyond Belief" by Peter Friedman & Roger Manley (92 min., 2004, HD) with Ms. Nicole (Poppy) Salinger and numerous VIPs in attendance. Overview of our Festival: In the heart of Provence, we celebrate European, French and American independent film with new films, retrospectives, interviews with filmmakers, a variety of social occasions, and prizes for emerging filmmakers from an international jury, all in an atmosphere of cordiality. This year's festival takes place oin the main square of Avignon (Place de l'Horloge) across from Town Hall at the Cinema Vox.
